
Campr Protection Program


Faster and simpler damage handling
When you rent out or rent through Campr, our goal is to make everything as predictable and simple as possible – even if something unexpected happens.
Campr therefore offers:

a Host Protection Program, which is included in the service, and
-
Campr Plus for renters, an optional add-on service with extra benefits.
These are not insurance products, but programs where Campr provides compensation within defined limits, making damage handling and settlement simpler and more predictable for both parties.
Campr Host Protection Program
The Campr Host Protection Program is an integrated part of the Campr platform and applies to all hosts who rent out through Campr.
The program is designed to:

simplify damage settlements

reduce the need to use your own insurance for minor damages

compensate for inconvenience in the event of major damages
How it works
1. Minor and moderate damages (up to NOK 20,000)
For documented damages of up to NOK 20,000, Campr can handle the settlement directly, without requiring you to file a claim with your own comprehensive insurance.
The renter’s deposit is always applied first.
2. Major damages (over NOK 20,000)
For major damages, the vehicle’s standard comprehensive insurance must be used.
Once the insurance claim is settled, Campr compensates:

the insurance deductible (up to NOK 10,000)

15% of the approved damage assessment (maximum NOK 20,000 per claim)
3. Loss of rental income
If the vehicle becomes temporarily unavailable due to damage, Campr may compensate for lost rental income from confirmed bookings:

50% of the host’s income

maximum NOK 20,000 for motorhomes
-
maximum NOK 8,000 for caravans
The Campr Host Protection Program is not insurance and does not replace the vehicle’s standard insurance.
Campr Plus – extra peace of mind for renters
Campr Plus is an optional add-on service that provides renters with additional benefits during the rental period.
What you get with Campr Plus:
✔ Reduced deposit
The deposit is reduced from NOK 10,000 to NOK 5,000.
✔ Compensation for interrupted holidays
If the rental has to be terminated because the vehicle becomes unusable due to damage, you receive:

NOK 1,500 per day for the remaining rental days
✔ Access to technical assistance
Phone-based technical guidance and support during the rental period.
Campr Plus does not cover repairs, damages, or costs related to roadside assistance or towing.
Faster and simpler damage handling
All damages are reported via Campr’s digital form.
This ensures we receive the right information from the start, reduces unnecessary back-and-forth, and allows cases to be handled faster for both hosts and renters.
